The Nine Bays of Huatulco
Huatulco is home to nine beautiful bays: San Agustín, Chachacual, Cacaluta, El Órgano and Maguey, Santa Cruz, Chahué, Tangolunda, and Conejos.
Of these nine bays, five are for tourism development and four are considered natural areas where only eco-tourism projects may be carried out. These bays are home to 36 beaches, each with its own characteristics of natural beauty. Some have soft, golden sand with water of different shades due to the depth of its seabed, while in others the attraction lies in the vegetation and marine fauna where the oyster, lobster, turtle, red snapper, clam and snail predominate.

St. Agustin Bay
It is the largest of all the bays in Huatulco, located opposite the island of San Agustín, from which it takes its name. It is ideal for diving thanks to its coral reefs, and its vegetation includes species such as acacia, grasses, and herbaceous plants. The palapas offer traditional, fresh seafood.
Chachacual Bay
Preserved as a nature reserve and very attractive for its coral reefs, it boasts species such as acacia, ficus, and mangrove trees, which line its two beaches: Chachacual and La India. It is one of the favorite nesting grounds for the olive ridley sea turtle; more than 100,000 of these turtles arrive on its sands annually.

Cacaluta Bay
Cacaluta means: "place of the black bird".
With lush vegetation framing the ecological reserve, Cacaluta is ideal for relaxation thanks to its subhumid climate and cool breeze. The beauty of its completely unspoiled landscape, as well as the abundance of flora and fauna, complement its enormous appeal.
Organo and Maguey Bays
El Órgano (The Organ)
Its fine sandy beaches and gentle waves offer the best safety for those new to water sports.
Maguey
With a 400-meter-long beach, this bay offers tourists its tranquil landscape and the coolness of its gentle waves, perfect for family water sports, snorkeling, and jet skiing. Under its palapas, you can enjoy delicious, fresh seafood, as well as traditional dishes from the local cuisine.

Santa Cruz Bay
A setting for Huatulco's traditions, the beautiful beaches of La Entrega, Yerbabuena, and Punta Santa Cruz are located here. It features a pier designed to accommodate cruise ships, transforming the bay's former image into a tourist-friendly commercial zone. Its walkways connect restaurants to the main plaza and the beautiful church built in commemoration of the Holy Cross, welcoming visitors to one of the most beautiful bays in the development.
Chahue Bay
In the valley of this bay of beautiful, expansive blue waters lies La Crucecita, a town with a tradition of hospitality. Among its attractions are the main square, a kiosk, a church, handicraft and regional product shops, as well as boutiques and restaurants. La Crucecita offers hotels ranging from 4- and 3-star to inns, catering to every tourist segment.

Tangolunda Bay
Its name comes from a Zapotec word meaning "beautiful woman." It is one of the most important bays, home to the largest hotel infrastructure and residential developments. Its expanding commercial district offers a wide range of recreational, sports, and culinary activities.
Conejos Bay
This bay offers tranquil beaches with clear, calm waters, ideal for diving, fishing, and swimming. It is an exclusive residential area ideal for your next investment and boasts luxury hotels.
